I met Angie when she first started her role as Director of Operations at Shuswap Indian Band. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of a government organization can be overwhelming. In a First Nation, the stress is amplified due to capacity and resource constraints.  From day one, Angie demonstrated superior leadership in her role. She understood the role deeply; she was well organized; she communicated effectively; she developed and implemented policy; she understood the importance of planning; and, importantly, she understood that an organization is only as good as its people, so she made capacity development a priority. Since 2006 Collective Initiatives has been the Facilitator’s of choice for the Missanabie Cree First Nation; Community/Administrative strategic planning/review; Policy development. A dynamic and engaging couple Angela Sarsons and Todd Sarsons' workshops are based on traditional aboriginal values using the medicine wheel model reinforce the seven grandfather teachings. I have had the pleasure of working with and retaining the services of Collective Initiatives for the past ten years. Angela Sarsons is very caring, passionate, and industrious and takes her work assignments seriously. In my experience working with Angela, I found her to be competent, efficient and timely in completing projects. Just recently Collective Initiatives completed a challenging project for the Mushkegowuk Council by conducting consultations in remote, fly-in First Nation communities. Although this project had to be completed within a short time frame, they did it in a timely and professional manner.
